Secretary of the Year

Ballyglass F. C. has been honoured twice with Mayo League Secretary of the Year - Joe Sheridan won the award in 1988/89 and Breege Jennings won the title in 2005

Mayo League Footballer of the Year:

Three Ballyglass F.C. players have won the coveted Mayo League Footballer of the year. 
 
They are;

  • Ray Prendergast (1990/91)
  • Martin Vahey (1996)
  • Colm Burke (1997)

Golden Boot Award:

Cong native Kevin Connolly became the first player from the club to win the Mayo League Golden Boot Award in 1997. John Noonan repeated the feat in 2001


First International Match:

An International U-17 Ladies match was held in Ballyglass between Scotland and Northern Ireland on 17th April, 2004.

Ballyglass F.C. are part of an elite band of clubs within the county, just six in all, to successfully defend the Mayo League Premier Division Title since its inception in 1954 when they won back to back titles in 1996 & 1997


Managers

Jarlath Moran is the clubs' most successful manager at senior lever. At the helm he has guided the club to two successive Mayo League Premier Division Titles (1996 & 1997), a Mayo F.A. Cup (1996/97), Westaro Super Cup, Runners-up in two Connaught Cup Finals (1996 & 1999) and reached the semi-final of the FAI junior cup in 1998.

Team of the Year 2006

Ballyglass F.C. would like to congratulate long serving player Tom Malone on being selected on the inaugural Mayo League Division 2 team of the year. Tom was selected in the right-back position due to his outstanding performances for the B team last season and will be presented with a specially commisioned scroll at the Mayo League Dinner Dance on November 18th 2006.

Tom has played for the club for many years and was an integral part of the Ballyglass success of the nineties, having also served on the committee during the major pitch and clubhouse developement in the same era.
