
Ballyglass Under 10 team won the Cup in the Blitz on Sunday 6th September.
Eleven teams participated in the Competition - Ballinrobe A, B & C, Partry A & B, Ballyglass A & B, Castlebar Town A & B, Claremorris A & B.
Despite the weather conditions, some great football was played by all participants. Under 8 and Under 6 teams also had their own mini-blitz making it a festival of football in Ballyglass for the spectators who braved the elements.

The Winners in Round 1 went on to compete in the Cup Competition; the losers played in the Shield Competition
Ballyglass B were beaten by Claremorris B 4 2 in the next round of the cup. In the semi-finals Ballyglass A beat Claremorris B by 3 goals to 1, whilst Claremorris A beat Partry A 5 goals to 1.
Ballyglass A won the Cup competition beating Claremorris A in the final by 4 goals to 1.
Castlebar Town who the inaugural Sean Malone Memorial Shield beating Ballinrobe B in the semi final and Ballinrobe A in the final.
The overall Player of the Tournament was Cathal Slattery who played a vital role in all games during the day to bring his team to victory.
